The Mystic Bamboo
The most detailed online Bansuri course available today — a digital gurukul for Hindustani flute that has grown to 10,000+ students across 25+ countries, carrying forward the Maihar Gharana lineage of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.
Translating Guru-Shishya Tradition into a Global Digital Classroom.
Oral Tradition, Structured Curriculum
Moving a centuries-old, memorized oral repertoire into a structured, video-guided progression — the 12-Step Mystic Bamboo Method — without hollowing out the tradition: fundamentals, Alankaras, Raga compositions, Taans and rhythm, carrying a learner from complete beginner to performer.
Heritage & Learning Cadence
Instruction traces to the Maihar Gharana — founded by Ustad Allauddin Khan and carried forward through Maa Annapurna Devi and Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia — delivered through a guru-shishya parampara reimagined for video. At 45–60 minutes of daily practice, most learners reach their first Alankaras within 8–12 weeks.
